6 ingredient Salsa
I always get upset when ‘5 ingredient’ recipes really have 6 or 7 ingredients because they thing salt and or pepper don’t count. If it’s on the ingredient list, it’s an ingredient, dammit! So 6 ingredients it is for this mind blowing salsa. You just throw it all into a blender, but your guests don’t have to know that (unless you’re like me and love telling people when things are quick, easy, or cheap lol). This is the best low ingredient salsa, and I’ll take that to my grave!

Growing up, we’d always make the Pioneer Woman’s ‘restaurant salsa’, and while delicious, it just makes sooooo much! Even my large extended family couldn’t eat it all. And its frankly a lot of ingredients.
Then my in-laws started giving me all of the chili piquins that grow on their land (because I mentioned how much I love them). I would always eat chili piquins dried up, ground, and sprinkled on chili, or eggs, or whatever I wanted to make spicy, but I started SWIMMING in chili piquins.
I decided I wanted to make salsa and was determined to make it easy and delicious, and this guy turned out just like that.
It started out with fresh tomatoes that I would roast with the garlic (and fresh peppers if I was using those), but since determining I’m allergic to fresh tomatoes, I needed to change it up. Thus this recipe was born!
