Mojito

I’m not a huge rum drinker, I usually stick to vodka or tequila, but my dad got hooked on these and offered to make me one during my parents’ ‘happy hour’ at home. Since then, I’ve been hooked! I love that this is a little sweet, a little minty, and a whole-lot-of refreshing!

The epitome of summertime, right here in a glass. I love excuses to use my pretty cups I’ve collected, and this is definitely one of them. I’m not a huge mint fan, but the couple of springs here are refreshing rather than toothpaste-y.

I love a good cocktail, so after my family went on a cruise and my dad became obsessed with mojitos, I knew I had to give it a good shot. He found that the best rum for this is the Plantation 3 Star light rum, but I also am a sucker for Havana Club.

Regardless what rum you buy, this recipe creates the perfect balance that’ll have you feeling it, but not tasting it!
